Pipebomb Press:
New & Improved
If you’ve been here before, you probably notice some changes.
Pipebomb started out as a magazine with a projected monthly publishing schedule with an open submissions policy. Now it’s a sporadic journal with no set release dates. We’re hoping it will come out seasonally. But since the magazine is only accepting work from artists whom the editors solicit, there’s no telling when we might release. We’re unpredictable that way. You can predict this, though: Issue #1 will be out by September’s end.
But wait! There’s more.
Pipebomb’s not just a magazine now. It’s an online press, with a limited print presence.
Be an editor.
While we’re not accepting visual or literary artwork on an open submissions basis, we are looking for proposals. This should include the editor’s (or editors’) names, their contact information (phone number, email address, mailing addresses) and brief bios on each (Curriculum vitae acceptable.)
Prospective editors should also include the topics and/or themes of the proposed anthology, as well as what genre(s) they wish to include. We’re open to anything, as long as it seems like a worthwhile project. Also,
please include a brief concept of formatting (be innovative – pdf’s, Flash, html, xml, and Quicktime are all acceptable).
Finally, submit a list of either: (a.) the means by which you will seek to gather submissions; or (b.) a long-list of artists/writers/critics whom you will approach to contribute to the project.
Stay Tuned
Bear with us while we transition into (and define) our presence.
If you're interested in helping Pipebomb Press become a reality by working in various capacities – editing, managing, marketing, or soliciting literary and visual artists – please email us at pipebomb.magazine@gmail.com.
Thanks!
